The brewery is located in the most remote corner of West Flanders, in the middle of “Le Plat Pays”, in the heart of the hop area in West Flanders, a beer is made that fancies most of the beer lovers.

The absolute top quality in the hierarchy of the St. Bernard Abbey beers. It is also the beer with a high alcohol content (10.50 %). A dark ivory coloured beer with a high fermentation. The show piece of the St Bernardus brewery.  Thanks to its soft and unconditionally genuine aroma of malt, caramel and fruit, the beer can be smoothly tasted. It has a good deal of character and is well rounded. The Abt has a very fruity flavour.  A very impressive beer !

St Bernardus Pater 6° 1/3L - 11.6fl.oz

This name became a reference. This beer is mostly pointed out with its product name: “a Paterke”.
This “Paterke” is brewed in West Flander using local hops. It is a chestnut coloured dark beer with a high fermentation (6.7 alcohol content). It is light in taste with a fruity aftertaste.
Hazy dark brown color. Malt flavor with a slight fruit sweetness and quite hint of cocos. Medium body with a peppery spiciness from the hops.

This noble delicious beer with a high fermentation has a ruby purple colour with a full malty and fruity taste (8% alcohol content).  This noble an distinctive beer has a beautiful round froth due to the second fermentation with a taste that creates a perfect balance between sweet and sour. Pours a color that is dark ruby, brown and orange. A nice feel in the mouth and a moderate finish.

St Bernardus Tripel 8° - 1/3L - 11.6fl.oz

This beer, with high fermentation, has a pale amber colour and a flowery, fruity taste with a harmonious balance between sweet and sour (8% alcohol content). This beer has a thick and vivid froth and strikes by its balanced taste with a delicate bitterness.

Deep golden orange in color, huge foamy head that sticks around forever, spicy yeasty aroma of cotton candy. Soft and creamy mouthfeel, a great triple.

St Bernardus White 5.5° - 1/3L - 11.6fl.oz

This traditional Witbier (Wheat beer) has been developed in cooperation with Master Brewer Pierre Celis, the Godfather of Hoegaarden and Celis White. It is brewed in West Flanders using local hops. This beer as well has a second fermentation in the bottle, giving this beer its specific taste (5.5% alcohol content). Cloudy and hazy pale golden color, spicy, earthy citrus aromas.  Nice Creamy head that sticks to the sde of the glass. Fresh lemons and mild spice flavors, crisp carbonated mouthfeel. A very refreshing brew.

Biere Des Grottes 6.5° Avaliable 1/3 and 3/4 liter - (11.16 and 25.36 ounce)

The latest acquisition “Grottenbier” was created by Master Brewer Pierre Celis. It is an aromatic dark beer with 6.5% alcohol content. Ages in the caves deep under the ground where the exceptional climatic circumstances give it a unique aroma and flavor without equal.  As it is the case with Champagne, the bottles are placed in a “pupitre” with results in an additional fermentation. Bottle pours a red brown, fairly dark but fairly clear. This high fermentation beer has been pointed out as one of the best 10 present-day beers by beer guru Michael Jackson.
